January 2021 News: AAUW members nation-wide are encouraging everyone to support EQUAL PAY… the bipartisan Paycheck Fairness Act was introduced in the US House of Representatives, and it will be introduced in the US Senate. AAUW has worked for 24 years to pass this critical bill, and this is the year we’ll succeed. We need to mobilize quickly to ensure we get it across the finish line. READ MORE>>>

Lobby Day – Talk directly with Legislators about women’s issues
Jan. 2017: Met with our two Representatives and one Senator. heard from Calandra Sechrist who is the Equity and Civil Rights Director at the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI). Juli Salvi from the Washington Education Association talked about education funding. Pam Crone, our AAUW Legislative Consultant in Olympia, talked about the relevant bills coming soon. Attended hearing on the Paid Family Leave and Pregnancy Accommodation bills.
